Glamorous and desirable, the Bentley Azure represents the pinnacle in a revered line of convertibles that stretches back to the very earliest days of the Bentley legend. The inspiration is classic, the execution is cutting-edge.

The Bentley Azure is a large, four seater convertible built by Bentley Motors Limited at their factory in Crewe, England. The model debuted in 1995 on the Continental platform and lasted in its original guise through 2003; a completely new (except for the poweplant) version sporting a significantly upgraded engine and riding on the newer Arnage platform debuted in 2006.

Now based on the Arnage platform, power comes from the current variant of the Bentley turbocharged V8 making 450 hp (340 kW) and 645 ft·lbf (875 N·m) of torque. Volkswagen funded a significant re-working of the engine in 2001 to moderise it, which included a switch from the old single-turbo system to a modern twin-turbocharger setup, reducing turbo-lag and increasing horsepower output; a new, model-specific 6-speed automatic transmission feeds power to the rear wheels.

Bentley claims a 0 to 60 mile-per-hour time of 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h) , slightly faster than the previous edition and still very good for a vehicle of this size and weight.

The exterior styling of the Azure combines the family identity of the Arnage with the fluidity of the classic Bentley convertibles of the past. 39 stunning paint colours are available as standard, with an unlimited palette also available to set off the Azure’s flowing silhouette.

The traditional techniques of craftsmanship employed in the building of the Azure are special in many ways. Individuality of finish and flexibility of design are paramount among them. The attention to detail and the dedication to perfection are clearly evident in the final product, in the touch of every surface and the feel of every texture.

Inspired by the exploits of the ‘Bentley Boys’ at the famous Brooklands racetrack in the 1920’s, the new Bentley Brooklands captures all the style, power and splendour of that era. A grand touring coupé with classic British proportions and a strictly limited lifetime production of 550 cars. With the first year’s production already sold out, and the first deliveries to begin in the first quarter of 2008, it’s clear that the Bentley Brooklands is destined to become a collectors’ classic

The Bentley Brooklands is a stunning new model that marks the company’s return to the luxury coupé market and reaffirms its reputation as creator of the world’s most exclusive coupés. It is the ultimate Bentley: a stylish, four-seat, grand touring coupe with classic British proportions and muscular performance.

Sporting design cues are matched by the phenomenal performance engineering of Bentley’s legendary Crewe-built V8 engine. The new Bentley Brooklands possesses the most powerful V8 the company has ever produced – a 530bhp, twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre unit that also produces a prodigious 1050Nm of torque.

Each Brooklands coupé will be hand-assembled, employing traditional coach-building techniques and the craftsmanship skills in wood veneer and leather hide for which Bentley is renowned. To ensure exclusivity, lifetime production will be strictly limited to just 550 cars, with deliveries expected to start in the first half of 2008.

Bentley Brooklands customers have an extensive choice of ‘standard fit’ exterior colours including new Venusian Grey and Titan Grey. In addition, customers can also tailor their cars to their individual specification through Bentley Mulliner’s bespoke colour matching service.

As with every Bentley, peerless craftsmanship and bespoke finishing are to the fore. Every item of trim, be it veneer, hide or chromed bezel, uses authentic materials. Bentley Brooklands customers will be able to specify their car in an extensive choice of 27 hides (including new Anthracite Grey, Newmarket Tan and Cashew) and four veneers (including new Dark Stained Vavona).

The Bentley Continental GT is a grand tourer coupé with two doors and a 2+2 seating arrangement, released in 2003, replacing the previous Rolls-Royce-based Continental R and T.

It is equipped with a 6.0L, twin-turbocharged W12 engine, producing 552 hp (412 kW), with a top speed of 198 mph (319 km/h). The car is designed by Belgian designer, Dirk van Braeckel. The Continental GT is built on the Volkswagen Group D1 platform. Largely, it could be considered a rebadged Volkswagen Phaeton, with a different styling and a more powerful engine, most of the technical components being identical to those on the Phaeton.

A coupé worthy of the GT name. The classic Grand Tourer. A contemporary reinterpretation of everything gone before. Inspired by the grace and power of Bentley’s thoroughbred bloodline, the Continental GT combines phenomenal power, incomparable refinement and class-leading performance. Muscular lines creating understated style, contemporary design with handcraftsmanship in true Crewe tradition. The past accelerating into the future. Power that doesn’t compromise space. Handling that doesn’t compromise comfort. Technology that doesn’t compromise handcraftsmanship. Above all, true Grand Touring performance complemented by the luxury of Bentley legend.

A host of engine and transmission enhancements have been introduced on the Continental GT to enhance both the refinement and efficiency of this high technology engine. Including a more efficient catalyst and exhaust system for improved emissions and a new engine management system and faster response cam sensor. The new upright front grille and wider central air intake provides improved airflow to aid engine cooling. All of these enhancements help provide an improved driving experience.

It’s called Continental GT Speed, and it’s the quickest, fastest Bentley ever, capable of a 4.3-second 0-60 mph time and 202-mph top speed. Bentley says its new 600-horsepower version of the twin-turbo W-12 has been optimized with lower-friction, lighter weight components to cut fuel consumption and C02 emissions. The new version of the engine gets a 9-percent increase in horsepower and a 15-percent increase in torque, to 553 foot-pounds.

Zero to 100 miles per hour comes up in 10.3 seconds and 50 mph to 70 mph takes 2.3 seconds.

Bentley has reworked the chassis, too, with a lowered ride height, uprated springs and damper settings and uprated anti-roll bars, plus grippier Pirelli P-Zeros on 9.5Jx20 wheels. The Servotronic steering has been improved for better response.

Both the standard Conti GT and the Conti GT Speed have lost 77 pounds, mostly through suspension and cooling system improvements, and the standard car’s engine gets the same treatments that lower weight and friction for better fuel consumption and C02 emissions.

Paying homage to Bentley’s original ‘Speed’ models that first appeared in 1923, the Continental GT Speed will likely make its own mark on Bentley enthusiasts just as its namesakes did.

The wheels are made of alloy and can be specified for Continental GT and Continental GT Speed. The model is available in a color palette of Beluga, midnight Emerald, Havana and Onyx. The Continental GT is made up of 14 hides and 135 metres of thread. The Bentley features such technology as the DVD Satellite Navigation System, a Bluetooth rSAP Telephone system, the advanced keyless entry and ignition technology, multi-zone climate control, electronically adjustable front seats with memory and heating, together with the multi-function steering wheel are some of the features that have been implemented for an unforgettable drive to any part of the world. The Bentley provides an unprecedented safety that ensures a smooth and comfortable journey. The self-adjusting air springs and electronic dampers operate on an independent level for each wheel. The all-wheel drive promotes an advanced traction. There are large front brakes that reassure you of safety and smooth drive. The Continental GT is fitted with a discreet retractable aerofoil that is deployed automatically at speed.

The exterior is not going to surprise you too much with the changes being limited to the front grille and air intakes. The redesigned rear bumpers give and the wider exhaust pipes add to the aggressive stance. These material changes are immaterial to an extent as the sill plates on all four doors read ‘Speed’. The 6.0l, 600bhp, twin-turbo V12 propels it to 100kph in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 322kph. The Speed now is 10mm lower than the Flying Spur with new 19-inch multi-spoke Pirelli P zero performance rubber. Carbon-ceramic disc brakes are on the options list. The self-adjusting air suspension with thicker front and rear stabilizer bars make cornering and the overall drive as smooth as the dispersal of dandelion seeds. The existing Servotronic steering system has been improved upon for greater response. The radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control has also been revamped with follow-to-stop precision and five time-gap settings.
