24 Oct is the worst day in my life when i buy Maruti Esteem. I spent 5, 50,000 on that product. That is the first car i buy myself i pay all the down payment and the EMI myself threw my salary. So i am very excited about that. But the response from the car and the after sale service is totally poor. I am looking for swift diesel but there is two and half month waiting on that, dealer suggest me to buy an esteem. I told them i am driving approx 100 km in a day so petrol expense not fits on my pocket, they suggested me we give you the esteem with a government approved CNG kit with Apra 40,000 Km warranty.

Finally i buy this car on 24th October 2007 from Apra Automobiles Gurgaon. The second day i complaint them i got the power back from that, i haven’t get that power in a/c what i am expecting. But they told me everything is Oks that’s only my thinking. I told them ok but i am not satisfied. Then i drive my friend car i haven’t get that problem in that. Then again i go to Apra service station i told them the same problem but they haven’t listen my problem. Then i complaint Maruti directly.

After some days i got a call from Apra, they again recheck but same didn’t except the fault. Then i discuss all this with my friend the advice me to go another service station. Then i go Competent Maruti at Mehrauli. They check the entire car and told me there is a problem in your icwalve and injectors; you have to replace them all. I discuss all this with Apra but they won’t believe. This is only the first problem i am writing. It is very difficult to write all.
Problems currently i am facing
•	Tyres bubbling after spent lots of money on balancing and alignment
•	Lots of sound from interiors
•	Power loss or pickup problem

Suggestion: – Don’t buy any Maruti product, if you want to waste your money them only buy

The new Baleno (code: YY4) or model ‘L’, as it is internally known at Maruti, is essentially the three-box or saloon version of the Suzuki SX4 which was launched late last year. This crossover vehicle in turn is built on a modified Swift platform. Designed by Giugiaro, the new Baleno has aggressive styling elements like the L-shaped headlights, chunky nose and the front quarter-glass with a unique kink. The new Baleno is substantially larger than the outgoing model and according to company sources is “as big as the Optra.”

Suzuki has focused on optimising rear seat comfort with a different squab and backrest for the India-spec model. The dashboard is expected to be similar to the SX4, which is a well-crafted and modern design.

A chunky central console which extends to the top of the dashboard has a useful multi-information display and a CD/MP3 player with integrated controls. However, it is possible that Maruti will provide a standalone audio unit and offer it as an option. The rotary air-con dials which have a particularly smooth and tactile action are similar to the Swift but come with faux-metal edges. Storage area is generous and the door pockets and cubbyholes in the central area are useful. What’s missing though is the recess above the dashboard, a very useful feature the current Baleno has. Cabin materials and plastics, though not in the league of the Honda City, are expected to set a new standard for Suzukis and will come as welcome change from the current Baleno’s drab interiors.

The SX4 comes with a 1.5-litre and 1.6-litre petrol as well as a 1.9- litre diesel sourced from Fiat. For the new Baleno, however, the current Baleno’s all-aluminium 1.6-litre 94bhp G16B engine may be used. However, it is also likely that the latest-generation 1.6 motor which develops upwards of 100bhp will be used if the new Baleno is to compete with the Optra and even the Corolla. Another card Maruti could play is fitting the 2-litre 140bhp petrol engine from the 2007 SX4 which would put the new Baleno in the same performance league as the Civic and Corolla. A Suzuki version of Fiat’s 1.9 Multi-jet diesel will also be an option Maruti will seriously consider but this would increase the price substantially and push the new Baleno into Octavia territory.

Maruti launched it’s new sedan, Maruti Swift Dzire which is the replacement for Maruti Esteem and the modified (sedan) version of Maruti Swift. With Dzire Maruti takes up the competition in the mid-size car segment. Esteem is replaced with Dzire after it’s successful service of long fourteen years. Esteem had been the most popular mid sized car in the Indian market.

Swift Dzire comes in both 1.3 petrol and 1.3L DDiS Multijet Diesel options. This redesigned version of Swift has more boot room and leg-space. Even though the company claims an over all modification on Swift, the Dzire has just an added boot that makes this new model, that too for an extra expense of Rupees one lakh in 2008.

Comparing with Esteem Dzire comes with so lot of contemporary new features. The available versions of Dzire are Dzire LDi 1248 cc, Diesel, Dzire LXi 1298 cc, Petrol, Dzire VDi 1248 cc, Diesel, Dzire VXi 1298 cc, Petrol, Dzire ZDi 1248 cc, Diesel, and Dzire ZXi 1298 cc, Petrol. All the models are five seater manual transmission.

Dzire is packed with a four cylinder 16 valve engine. The petrol version has SOHC variant and the diesel models come with Multijet DDis/DOHC versions. Fuel distribution system in Dzire is Multipoint injection Common rail. Dzire produces a maximum power of 87 Bhp at 6000rpm and 75Bhp at 4000 rpm. Maximum torque is 113 at 4500rpm and 190 at 2000 rpm. There is a naturally aspirated Air charging system and a fixed geometry turbo charger with inter-cooler. Dzire follows emission BS III.

Wheel Base is 2390mm. The overall length of the car is 4160mm and width 1690mm. The car is fitted with ABS, power steering, fog lamps and automatic climate control systems. The car has added safety features like airbags, abs, collapsible steering, steering audio controls etc.

What makes Dzire different from other models of Maruti is the 400litres of boot space. The top end variant of swift Dzire will also come with class leading luxury features like Auto Temperature Control, new integrated DIN Stereo and an all new 6 spoke alloy wheels.

Maruti Dzire is the cheapest sedan available in the Indian market. This car could rightly be placed as a perfect family car. Even though not as stylish and good looking as Swift, Dzire will be a powerful competitor for mid-sized cars in India. Dzire was introduced to put an end to the successful era of Esteem.

The SX4 comes with Maruti’s new M-16 engine. This one in SX4 has twin overhead cams, it has a drive by-wire throttle and it produces a goog 102 bhp in comparison with Honda City’s 77 bhp. The car also has an extra 2 kgm of torque. The SX4 is lined up against the sea of ordinariness that is the C-segment. It featres an aggressive grille swept back headlamps and a steeply raked windscreen along with wing mirrors and kinked quarter glass make for a head- turner with imposing road presence. The only ordinary, or should I say conventional part of the design is the boot section but even that is well integrated into the overall design language, the prominent shoulder line merging into the tail lamp and the tail section being suitably pumped-up and muscular. In fact viewed from the rear three-quarters the SX4 looks huge. Boot space, at 505litres, is the best in class.

The driving position of the SX4 is excellent even though the steering is adjustable only for rake and is high-set in a mini-SUV sort of way. This results in excellent visibility and means the hip-point is rose, which sees you walk into the car, not crawl in traditional Suzuki fashion. Overall spaciousness is very good with the rear seat squab slightly raised over the fronts to improve visibility while also aiding ergonomics and comfort over long durations. Given the tall stance, it is surprising that the SX4 is a little tight on rear headroom though. The shoulder room is not as generous as say the Honda City and the version we tested, with leather seats, is a strict four-seater; forcing a third passenger to sit on the raised central hump of the back seat is a strict no-no. In addition, the middle passenger has to contend with a large transmission tunnel.

The large glass area gives the cabin a light and airy feel, complemented by a clean uncluttered dash that borrows a number of elements from the Swift, not the least of which is the three-dial Speedo binnacle (backlit in cool white). That is no bad thing though; quality of materials is definitely superior and the only let down are the plastics around the door trims and the power window switches that are hard to touch and a little low-rent. The dash is contemporary and attractive without resorting to excessive use of beige, the two slivers of polished plasto-steel flanking the central console being both tasteful and understated. I particularly liked the rotary climate control knobs that have a metallic finish and operate with a beautifully tactile feel.

When going from 0-100, the SX4 is a clear winner but in gear, it is a different story. This is because the SX4 seems to run out of steam at around 5,000rpm. The torque curve on the City is linear and crisper, which makes it very much drive-able in the city and is rapidly, the more refined engine. However, the SX4 engages the driver in the punchy, strong mid-range i.e. between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm. The gearboxes are. The SX4 steering leaves a lot to be desired. Over bumps and undulations, the steering gets skittish. In the city traffic, it feels just great to nip in and out of traffic and for parking, it is just wonderfully light. The SX4 leads on ground clearance.

The SX4, with its 16-inch rims and 205 tyres does offer better grip around tyres. The all-new SX4 sedan from Maruti is being launched in two variants sporting 1.6-litre engine. The lower version of SX4, LXi, is likely to be priced at Rs 5.5 lakh and the higher variant, ZXi, would be approximately priced at Rs 7 lakh. Maruti SX4 will belch out a total of 102-horse power with the help of Suzuki’s advanced, next generation M-series global engine. The car will sport a 16-valve, DOHC, 1.6-litre engine that will meet the stringent Bharat stage-IV emission norms. In addition, the car can be made compatible with the forthcoming Euro-V emissions norms too, if needed.

The exteriors of the SX4 had been crafted to make the interiors more spacious. Though this car is usually a hatch in other countries and is developed to a sedan, the SX4 is different, different from the competitors, it is like a crossover, and it has the presence of feel of a mini SUV type of look. This is reason why it stays away from the other saloon of this segment, its looks a bit of a class higher; it has the likes to take up with the Optra 1.6 and even the Toyota Corolla.
