SAS was founded in 1976. SAS originally stood for Statistical Analysis Software, but the company has long since broadened their reach beyond statistical software programming. The SAS statistical software remains an industry leader and is used by pharmaceutical companies for submission of clinical trials information to the FDA. The software is also used extensively in the insurance industry and public health agencies. Adobe employees are well compensated. In addition to competitive base salaries, employees are awarded up to a 10 percent profit sharing bonus paid quarterly, based on Adobe’s financial performance.
