These relationships help maintain current, industry-applicable curricula and focus research dollars and energy toward today’s challenges.
LU’s College of Engineering looks beyond campus boundaries for research opportunities to provide solutions to challenges – from space technology and environmental concerns to ports and waterways efficiency, transportation research and engineering technology development. The College administers ten research centers organized within the Texas Center for Technology Incubation (TCTI) including Aldredge Air Quality Modeling Center, Center for Fuel Cells and Energy Systems, Center for Transportation/Ports and Waterways, Center of Process and Information Technology, Green Composite Research Center, Gulf Coast Hazardous Substance Research Center, Materials Instrumentation Center, Renewable Energy Center, Texas Air Research Center, Texas Hazardous Waste Research Center
