With its lively and significantly expanding research environment, the Faculty of Engineering also offers the opportunity to study to PhD level (subject to status). The emphasis is placed on commercially useful research, supported by three research centres: Aerospace Research Centre, Applied Engineering Research Centre and the Sustainable Technology Research Centre.
The Faculty has two sites. Roehampton Vale Campus is tailored towards aerospace, mechanical and automotive courses. Facilities include large-scale wind tunnels, laboratories equipped with industry-standard engineering test and experimental facilities, automotive lab including Lotus Exige, Triumph Daytona, Honda quad bike and other vehicles, Learjet 25 and a Merlin Flight Simulator.Each campus is equipped with a range of CAD/CAM packages and standard computing labs with dedicated Information Learning Resources centres.
