I love everything of SONY VAIO FW but am really unsatisfied with the graphics card. The 3D marks result can be hopeful because Sony is offering an option of higher performing graphics card than the current ones in some time.
Sony Vaio FW is by far the best looking laptop in the world. Though sony laptops are costlier but the cost is justified. The laptop I have is really great.
i just bought this computer yesterday and i was seriously impressed with the audio abilities. the screen size just continuously blows you away, while the computer its self is particularly light considering the 16.4″ screen. starting under 1000 you wont find a better multimedia powerhouse.
On the sony site it says battery last up to 6 hours
Just got this laptop today and so far very impressed. Appears to be built to last with the magnesium casing making a nice change from the usual plastic and feels much more robust. The screen is awesome, both the extra size and the quality of the picture. The keyboard is a dream to type on once you get used to the spacing which didn’t take too long. The features for the price I paid ( £580 ) is brilliant and it comes loaded with some pretty useful software and less of the usual crap that sony normally load on. The only thing that doesn’t blow me away is the speakers, they’re not bad just not brilliant but afterall it is a laptop and a pretty thin one at that so there’s not a lot of depth for big drivers. Ive heard people comment about poor battery life, I don’t know about that yet but my past experience with sony equipment be it MP3 walkmans or laptops is it is usually pretty good, also the mouse pad felt a bit strange at first as it’s very flush to the palm rest and the buttons aren’t immediately obvious to the touch but again after about 1/2 hours use I got used to them and going back to my old laptop felt weird so it’s not that big a deal. If you’re undecided about buying one of these I suggest going and actually seeing one in the flesh, the build quality is way better than anything else out there with the exception of a mac.
